Bill Jordan is a Charleston native who received his Juris Doctor degree in 1973 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. After serving in the U.S. Air Force Judge Advocate General Corps, he worked as an associate at the law firm of Furman, Jenkins & Buist. Bill was a partner at Long, Smith & Jordan and has spent many years in private practice.
He is past president of the Charleston Lawyers Association and contributed sections on real estate law to the South Carolina Jurisprudence Project. He is a member of the Charleston County, South Carolina and American Bar Associations, and is admitted to the South Carolina Supreme Court, the U.S. District Court for the District of South Carolina and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit.
Bill's clients have included The Beach Co., Kiawah Resort Associates, Kiawah Island Development Partners, and countless homeowners and businesses in the lowcountry.
His practice also includes estate planning, probate issues and business incorporation.
